Born and raised in New York, Davan Howard is a 2D animator, illustrator, and storyteller with a BFA in 2D Animation from Pratt Institute.
His work explores the art of creating something from nothing. Transforming sketches, thoughts, and emotions into vibrant, living worlds. Blending influences from both Eastern and Western animation, Davan combines emotional subtlety and symbolism with bold expression and energy to craft stories that feel deeply human and visually alive.
He is passionate about world building, character driven storytelling, and creating visual experiences that spark curiosity and wonder. His long-term goal is to direct his own animated films and series that connect with others, giving back to the craft that has done so much for him.
When he's not drawing, you can likely find him journaling, writing poetry, playing video games, or maybe even finally learning French.
